| I once thought that body language was so clear, so very concise. Looking at a person a certain way could mean "I hate your guts" or "I want your body," and everybody could always tell the difference. It could be the angle of the eyebrows, or a certain positioning of the lips. Instinct tells me whether I should send back the evil eye or a sexy wink. So what now? I'm faced with something I can't interpret, something I can't understand. Something that confuses and frustrates me. Actions aren't just actions anymore. A thought is behind every movement, and I cannot imagine what motivates him to do what he does. What is he thinking anyway? What is he getting himself into? How do I react? How am I supposed to feel? Human Interaction for Dummies. I'd get a signed copy, then pore over it for hours. I suppose body language is pretty clear. It's emotion that is cloudy and mysterious. |
